Faculty plays a larger role than you might recognize in ensuring students are able to obtain the textbooks and materials they need at reasonable prices. The DVC Bookstore relies on you, the faculty, to submit course materials requests for your courses in a timely fashion each semester. Timely lists allow us to source the correct materials and obtain an appropriate supply of used textbooks. It also allows us to place more titles on the rental list. A delayed course request can result in inventory shortages, students unable to obtain required materials and an inability to buy books back from students. Please do your part and submit your course materials requests before the due date each semester. Your students and the bookstore buyer will thank you!

If you need a desk/instructor copy, contact the publisher or publisher rep directly. Most major publishers provide the ability to order instructor materials online. If you need the contact info for the publisher, ask the book buyer in the bookstore. If you need a copy immediately and the bookstore has the book in stock; you can purchase a copy and get an extended refund period to tide you over until your desk copy arrives. Make sure you let the cashier know you are an instructor so they can notate on your receipt.

Please note:  Section numbers change every semester.  All text requisitions must have dept, course, section numbers. Thank you.
